About

Built by Chris Cooke for The Vibe Coding Games, where it reached the finals.

Who built this

Chris grew a Jira reporting app to $12M ARR in three years — fully bootstrapped, no outside funding — one of the fastest-growing apps the Atlassian Marketplace has seen, with SEO and social media marketing as the primary growth engine against well-funded legacy incumbents. Since exiting, he's worked with smaller vendors in the Atlassian Ecosystem, helping them grow. This tool distils the technical-SEO method from that work into a reusable audit and an approval-led system for acting on it. It is a practical operating method, not a claim that SEO alone explains the whole growth story.

Why it exists

Most SEO audit tools ask you to hand over your Google Search Console and Analytics, create an account, or upload your data to their servers. This one is built the other way around: no account, and no SEO platform in the middle. Download the runbook, open it in Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex, and an AI agent runs the entire audit on your own machine — crawling, analysis, skills, and report writing. After the report passes QA, it generates a separate Action Runbook for research, approved implementation batches, live verification, and recurring measurement. Your data goes only to the AI you already use; it never passes through us.

The methodology behind it

This isn't a generic checklist. It is a full audit-and-action methodology developed and refined across real B2B SaaS audits, including products distributed on the Atlassian Marketplace. It goes well beyond surface-level checks:

  • Technical SEO and structured-data validation
  • Search Experience Optimization (SXO) — matching page type to what each SERP actually rewards
  • Programmatic SEO and content-cluster planning across the funnel
  • A fixed, bounded AI-search citation benchmark — without made-up universal visibility scores or special-file shortcuts
  • Schema markup and internal-architecture design
  • Evidence-based content refresh, merge, protect, and prune decisions
  • Conditional Crawl Stats, backlink baselines, and a fixed historical SERP panel
  • CMS/framework implementation guidance, per-deployment checks, and 2/4/8-week measurement

You can read the full methodology or download it and judge the depth for yourself.

How it's built

The core site is Astro on Vercel. The runbook is a plain markdown file - no proprietary formats, no install scripts, no lock-in - and both the audit and approved action cycles run on your machine. It is deliberately not a hosted autonomous scheduler: you choose when to run it and approve any change. The public SEO score leaderboard uses a small Vercel backend and Postgres database for submitted benchmark entries. The privacy page has the details.
